BRITAINS FIRST HALAL PUB

well let me say before i go on about this pub,my facebook account was disabled today for posting articles of truth about britain and islam ,the war and halal, jihad, you know the type of posts,no hate speech or nowt, just plain facts, really done my head in having to make a new account, find old friends again, upload photos all over again, very time consuming !
i then come across this article which really got my back up,its about britains fist halal pub "halal inn"i cant say it without swearing...heres the article...

There are bar snacks, quiz nights, snooker tables and blaring music.
But if you fancy a beer you've come to the wrong pub.
The Halal Inn is open for non-alcoholic business only.
The country's first Islamic pub opened last December in Oldham and although trade is not exactly roaring, it is purring along.

Cheers: The Halal Inn's owner, Azizur Rahman, left, with busness partner Muzahid Khan
Behind the bar, there are fizzy drinks and fruit juices, including non-alcoholic spritzers and buck's fizz for those special occasions.
In addition to tea and coffee, a range of Asian snacks is available, while Islamic songs are played over loudspeakers.
Pubgoers can play snooker, darts or karam, an Indian board game similar to billiards. Islamic-themed quiz nights have also been organised.
Owners Azizur Rahman and business partner Muzahid Khan spotted the potential in the former Westwood Inn which was lying empty on the edge of the town centre.

Halal Inn
Booze-free: The Halal Inn was called The Westwood before it changed hands
"Muslims are a major consumer group and they need somewhere to relax and socialise just like anybody else," said Mr Khan yesterday.
"But the presence of alcohol means traditional pubs are off-putting to those who want to follow strict Islamic rulings, so this is the perfect place for them to come.
"More and more pubs are closing down across the country, and we believe turning them into Islamic pubs could be a success anywhere that has a large Muslim community."

Although the pub, like many traditional British versions, is definitely a male dominated environment, there is no ban on women customers.
Bartender Ali Yaris, 44, said: "Local people have been very supportive although sometimes it does cause a bit of confusion.
"One night a man came in, sat down at the bar and said to me: 'Pint of lager, please, mate'.
"I looked around and he followed my eyes and realised that there weren't any beer pumps, there weren't any optics and there weren't any bottles of spirits on the shelf behind the bar.
"We had a bit of a laugh. I think he went somewhere else to find something a bit more traditional."

Clean-cut: Mr Khan and Mr Rahman are hoping to pull in Muslim customers put-off regular pubs and clubs
The pub has its own snooker league with about 20 competitors vying to be its first champion.
Office worker Mohammed Ali, 27, was enjoying a quiet game after work.
"There are usually a decent mix of people - not all of them Muslims. It's a very sociable place," he said.
"It's a bit different from a pub because you don't get drunks and so you don't get too much aggro. I think it's a brilliant idea."
Abdus Shahid, 29, a regular at the pub, said: "It is just like a pub only it doesn't sell alcohol.
"We come here to relax, have a game of snooker and generally just meet up with mates after a day at work.
"I think the main point of going to a pub for English lads is the drink, but here the aim is just to see your friends and relax a little bit."
Almost as glaring as the absence of alcoholic drinks is the fact that there are no televisions at the inn.
Mr Khan agreed that showing live football or cricket could attract more customers.
"It's a new concept and it's going to take people a while to get used to it, even in the Muslim community, but it's early days still," he said.

wtf??? did i miss something??got to be a joke??noooo! its serious ! the good old british pub is now a jihad halal pub, next it will be the nightclubs, and the main gig of the year in glastonbury !!!

HALAL SLAUGHTER PROCESS>THE ANIMAL IS NOT STUNNED -FACT !!!

Slaughter Procedures
The slaughterer must be an adult Muslim, and holder of a current slaughtering license accorded by Meat Hygiene Service.
Zibah is the method or the act of slaughter also known as zibah-al-Ikhtiyaariy by which an animal or a bird is slaughtered by a Muslim by saying shahada or tasmiya, Bismillah Allahu Akbar. If the slaughter is not done by zibah method, any meat or derivatives from such carcasses cannot be deemed to be halal or permissible for Muslims to consume. Requirements for zibah are:
1. The knife to be used must be razor sharp; the blade must be straight and smooth, and free from any serration, pits, notches or damage. The length of the blade must be at least four times the width of the neck of the animal to be slaughtered. The blade must not flex noticeably whence in use.
2. The animal must not be anaesthetised, stunned to be killed or otherwise rendered wholly insensible prior to slaughter. It must be conscious and alive when it is slaughtered.
3. Poultry and other birds must be restrained either in an upright or prone position for slaughter.
4. Lamb, sheep, goats, calves (of less than 60kg dead weight) and other similar sized animals must be placed on a cradle for slaughter and if hung on shackles all efforts are made that they do not injure or bruise themselves.
5. Larger bovines, equines, deer and similar sized animals must be restrained in a standing position for slaughter.
6. The act of slaughter (Zibah-al-Ikhtiyaariy) must be done with a simple swipe across the neck. The cut should not be any deeper than necessary to sever the carotid artery, jugular vein and windpipe and must not sever the spinal cord. The slaughterer must pronounce aloud or under lip the Arabic words, Bismillah, AllahuAkbar (in the name of Allah, Allah is the greatest) in a reverential tone (if possible), when slaughtering.
The Jugular vein, windpipe and carotid artery should be cut by a single swipe of a sharp knife, without damage to the spinal cord.
7. After being slaughtered, lambs, sheep, goats and other similar sized animals must be restrained in situ for at least 20 seconds. Bovine and other similarly sized animals must be restrained in situ for 60 seconds. Poultry and other birds must not be subjected to any further processing for at least 20 seconds. During the aforementioned period they must not be further injured, nor subjected to unnecessary stress or pain. Indeed it is desirable that efforts are made to clam them during this period.
8. The slaughterer must clean the knife after slaughter of every animal or bird and must check that the knife still conforms to above rules. If damaged, the knife must be replaced. If it is no longer razor sharp, it must be sharpened, say, on a flat stone and approved by an HFA inspector before further use. Note that the knife must not be sharpened in sight of animals awaiting slaughter.
9. The slaughterer or supervisor must ensure that all the flowing blood has been drained from the chicken or ovine or bovine carcass.
10. The water used during the poultry de-feathering process must be at the lowest practical temperature in vogue.
11. No dorsal cut is allowed, since this method would slice or sever the spinal cord and the bird or the animal is rendered incapacitated to convulse to drain the flowing blood out of the carcass
12. At the abattoir, slaughterhouse, distribution centre and retail outlets, DEFRA (Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), Meat Hygiene Services (MHS), European Union (EU) and local hygiene laws and regulations should always be adhered to, and strictly followed at every stage of the process.

wetherspoon halal response

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Halal products.

We use several meat products that are Halal approved. However, we cannot claim complete meals to be Halal as not all ingredients used in our dishes are Halal approved....

Menu items that contain Halal meat are as follows:
Butterfly Chicken Breast included in our Deli Sandwiches, BBQ Chicken Melt, Noodles with Chicken, Chicken Salads and Chicken Burger option.
Breaded Chicken Burger

We are aware that there can be concerns about the slaughter process involved with Halal meat. We are advised that the animals are electrically stunned, prior to the slaughter process, which is in line with European Halal Development Agency standards and considered to be humane.

Our menu items are carefully selected products from suppliers based all over the world in order to provide our customers with an exciting range of food and drinks, which also provide excellent quality and value.
